At Innovative Nerve & Joint Centers, we approach back pain by finding the cause first, then building a personalized, non-invasive plan that restores movement, reduces pain, and rebuilds strength. We measure progress throughout care and refer patients to other specialists when that is the right step.
Many people have tried rest, medication, or short-term fixes that helped for a while and then faded. Our approach is designed to address what keeps the pain coming back.
What Makes Our Back Pain Evaluation Different?
Dr. Paul Fisher completed Department of Defense hospital rotations in orthopedic surgery, radiology, pain management, and physical medicine and rehabilitation, and holds advanced certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment. He is also one of the few chiropractors in the country to be Advanced Certified in Chiropractic Biophysics.
That background shapes every evaluation. We look at the spine along with the hips, core, and movement patterns, and we screen carefully for nerve involvement and warning signs. Imaging is used when it will change your care, not by default.
Dr. Fisher’s training in Chiropractic Biophysics allows him to better evaluate the alignment of the spine and address it with advanced spinal remodeling. Combined with restoring proper movement, this has led to great success for patients with chronic pain who have not improved with other types of care.
How Do We Build a Back Pain Care Plan?
Every plan is built around your evaluation and goals. Depending on the cause, care may include:
- Chiropractic adjustments to improve joint motion
- Spinal decompression for disc-related pain
- K-Laser therapy and SoftWave therapy to help reduce pain and inflammation
- Trigenics® to help restore normal muscle function
- Progressive core and hip strengthening
- Chiropractic Biophysics to restore normal spinal alignment
- Guidance on sitting, lifting, sleep, and daily activity
Early care focuses on calming pain. As you improve, the plan shifts toward strength and long-term stability.
How Do We Measure Your Progress?
We track pain levels, range of motion, strength, and movement quality, along with what matters most to you, such as sitting through work, sleeping, or getting back to golf or the gym. Regular reassessments show whether the plan is working and when to adjust it.
What If We Are Not the Right Fit?
Some back problems need care we do not provide, such as advanced imaging, injections, or a surgical opinion. If your evaluation or progress points that way, we tell you directly and help coordinate a referral. Getting you to the right care comes first.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Approach to Back Pain
Do You Only Treat the Spine?
No. We also treat the hips and surrounding muscles when they contribute to back pain.
Will I Need Imaging Before Treatment?
Not always. We recommend imaging when it will change your care or when a serious problem is suspected.
How Often Will I Need Visits?
Most plans start with more frequent visits and taper as you improve and take on more at home.
Is Treatment Painful?
Our treatments are non-invasive. Some may cause mild, temporary soreness, and we adjust care to your comfort.
Can You Help Back Pain That Has Lasted for Years?
Many patients with long-standing back pain improve with a thorough evaluation and consistent care, though progress often takes longer.
